3rd pic is yellow because of my ear phones but I thought it looked cool.
I like the old buildings, so I thought I would share interesting photos.
I am no photographer

For reference this is a residential area circa 10 o'clock on a Sunday.
btw taking photos made my walk much more interesting, streets practically deserted.

As I said before this is what I find interesting and after this there was a police incident but I decided not to draw attention to my self, ppl who live here are considered poor and I respected people by not directly taking their photograph, it is the environment, the gritty, the neon lights ect I find interested, I used to jog around here before i became fat as fuck.

third pic is a liitle noodle shop, he turned the lights off just as I took this photo, we are metres from Prince Edward and Mon Kok, I received a phone call and kinda lost my mood for taking photos about 8minutes later, but at this point I was having fun.

Yeah we get to the neon lights, which inspired so many 80/90s anime.
We are not in any hot spots, but I hope you find some thing enjoyable.
I deleted the blurry photo's and know there are some duplicates, but If I didn't upload these I would never do it again.
This is my first IWO

I am sure the HK tourist board and citizens would kill me, but I find these photos interesting, but I made a conscious effort to stop taking photos of old buildings and air conditioning units.
I appreciate the neon sign, it needs no comment.
Sunday at this time is very quiet.

These areas are nothing special, but interesting, I doubt many ppl take photos here, as red neon is popular, most of these signs are still from the 80s, it gives everything a pink hue like photo 3 in the OP.
Phone is good for at short range, longer than 10 metres it is not appropriate but you work with what you have got.

Let me know what you think and any ideas, I may plan this out a bit more next time.

It's a genuine metropolis blending east and west.
Very intriguing.

As you say I also think the more close-up pictures turned out quite nicely (e.g. >>16546 1st, >>16547 3rd, >>16559 1st)
It's probably hard to capture so many different lights properly with a phone camera, but maybe there are some settings to try, as on many pictures many of the lights turn out rather blurry. Maybe you could try doing some pictures during the day though I guess it just wouldn't be the same.
It's definitely an exotic sight for me that it's so lively and bright at this time of the day, thanks for posting!

I feel bad about saying I wouldn't post here again, so If I can give something back it is good.
I was going to post something Boxing day, I never, say again New Years day, but I just said fuck it, do a night walk and post some pics.
I could be more selective, but I had fun and if you guys want more I'll try, difficulty is only got a phone camera, although I used to take photos at my last job, so I know a little bit, trouble is all these cameras are not real cameras.

Thanks for sharing. I especially liked your pictures of smaller tucked away places like the 1st pic in >>16546 and the 2nd pic in >>16552 .  Mixing those with broader shots of the streets, along with your narration, made a great night walk IWO.

Only seen it in Japan, also didn't have an idea what I was doing but it was fun.
There may have been some children ones, obviously not as good, you could see them in Taiwan, but not the real thing.
Gambling is really big over here, all Chinese are prone to gambling addiction.
Gambling is also illegal in China and HK.
That doesn't stop them having Mahjong houses, and Gov allowed betting shops, a race course in Happey Valley and Casinos in Macao.
Of course they are all addicted to their phones now.
