I recommend you guys get into B-movies (action and drama genres) from the 80s, 90s and 2000s, they are a lot more soulful and much less toxic than the big Hollywood ones with famous actors and cgi like those listed on the other movie thread which makes me want to puke.

These movies often have bad acting but they're based in reality, they have people working at supermarkets and not nonsense. Watching B movies turned my life around, I'd work hard all day then watch them at dinner time. It gives you something to look forward to and something to think about.

>B-movies from the 80s
I really miss those old softporn movies from 70s and 80s, that usually consist of very cheap humor and tits.

What about Hard Boiled, is it even a B-Movie? They made a video game that is based on the film.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAtxZHuJNW4

It also has some nice music like the red car boogie and the jazzy intro at the jazz bar

No. Can't imagine that a good looking guy like him could be really bullied. Just his hair alone is 10/10 and would attract the girls. Makes me mad that someone like him is written into a bullying plot. But the the movie itself is great fun, the opening scene much cooler than fighting scenes from today. We don't have guys like Chuck anymore. It was always Ernsts dream to be Chuck Norris.

But now I want to recommend a good B Movie. Plot summary: Killers gonna kill.

It's only in German or French, I would recommend the German version, French sounds gay :DDDD

In a real-world scenario, the teacher calls the loser down after 2 minutes so someone else can use the rope. There's no girl cheering him on, either. Just girls giggeling. The one that giggles the least will later be bullied about being in love with the loser, and then intensify her bullying of the loser, as to not be a loser herself.

Love the trailer - really no bullshit, just epic music, gunfire, action

A Better Tomorrow II is my favorite of John Woo, it had some really funny scenes
It's arguably B-movie tier I guess, but IMO he manages to keep the melodrama in bounds so that it can still be taken somewhat seriously and the sad scenes are still perceived as sad somehow

Ai, I got that one burned on a blank disc saying Hard Boiled 2. Is it supposed to be a sequel? Definitely a B movie tho. But any asian film with german dub from before 2000 is automatically a B movie :DDD
>>
No. 12040
>>12032
Yeah, the first A Better Tomorrow is pretty good too
You should definitely watch it first, you will have a laugh at how ridiculously Yun-Fat Chow's character is re-introduced in the 2nd one

Also I think it's best in the original dub since they speak some broken English at times and that probably gets lost in translation
>>
No. 12045
>>12040
>that probably gets lost in translation

What I wanted to point is that German dubs of fairly unknown asian movies from the 80s or 90s are super trashy since the distributors did not have enough money to pay proper speakers or a higher quality dub production in general. So a good movie has the same trashy dub than some trash film like Story of Rickie

Haha, I get it, though I've never experienced it in German. It was the same when I was growing up with Russian dubs, it was often just one person dubbing in monotonous voice over the original audio track. And afaik they even still do it today to some extent
>>
No. 12080
>>12055
It's the same in polish. People got so used to the narrator that they don't see reasons to dub every voice with a single voice. I actually find it very comfy and interesting. It even feels a bit more natural to me than for example german dubs, as movies with polski lektor usually feel like the narrator is translating the text to the audience, original voices can still be heard.

Your loss. If anything rutracker is too anal about quality control, they already whine when some album doesn't have the proper bitrate. Besides there's pretty much no way to get infected with malware from actual video or music files

I've used rutracker extensively, as I assumed there won't be any honeypot torrents set up by copyright holders on a site meant for Russians outside of their jurisdiction.

Never got malware, not once, and it has some rare torrents that I couldn't find elsewhere.

Apart from the stuff shown in MST3K the real b-movies I have watched and can really recommend are few. Cold Blooded https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112702/ comes to mind, which has Jason Priestly who some oldtimers might remember from 90210. Another one would be Bubba Ho-Tep https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0281686 with Bruce Campbell, who is probably the most famous actor of b-movies still alive and working. Last one off the top of my head is John dies at the End https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1783732 once recommended by some Finn(?) on old KC's /int/, and I can only ever pass on that recommendation.

Picture not related, but me on the left. Just to show how cool I am and how much you therefore have to follow my recommendations.
